Sending Free and Funny Birthday Cards

We all enjoy receiving birthday cards. What more if we would add humor on our happy birthday cards. It will surely put a smile on the recipient’s face. And since these cards are free, it is the best option for you as a sender too.

Free and funny birthday cards are found swarming on the Internet. Some sites need membership and payment for using these services while some websites provide free services. Here are some tips for those who want to send free and funny e-cards.

Tip #1 – Consider the Sense of Humor of the recipient when selecting your card

Not everyone thinks the same and your idea of funny may not be the same as the recipient’s idea of funny. For example, if the card is for your best friend, think about the things that she would love to laugh on while selecting your card. Be careful that there is nothing on the card that will be offensive to her.

Tip #2 – Consider the personality and interest of your recipient

Funny cards may look humorous to the recipient but may not appeal to their interests. Our goal in sending a card is to make the recipient feel happy. If the birthday card is a funny joke about ballet dancers and your recipient is not a fan of ballet dancers, then what is the point? Take time to think about the recipient and consider his/her interests before you send the card.

In other words, imagine sending a funny card that mocks the age of an old person. Would this be appropriate? No. Imagine another situation about a woman who prefers to use anti-wrinkle cream and you send a card with a picture of a wrinkled-faced woman, then she will not enjoy it either.

Tip #4 – Consider Your Reputation

This means you need to be sure that you will want to sign the card that you select and not send it anonymously. If you are thinking of sending it anonymously then it shows that you are ashamed at your choice of the card and possibly the card is offensive too. Avoid such cards.

Tip #5 – Consider the value of your friendship

Saving money is a good idea but if you feel that you prefer to spend some money in sending your card then you can do so. Many websites offer paid services and this will also be known by your recipient. Your recipient will feel special thinking about the time and money you took to send them the card. There is nothing wrong with sending birthday cards that are free. However, membership is a great way to gain full access to the database and resources of the greeting websites.

Tip #6 – Consider Being Serious

Finally, this is an option too. Many of us are afraid to send serious cards thinking whether the recipient will not enjoy it. And sometimes, we do not express our true feelings because of this fear. However, remember that you need not be afraid of expressing your true feelings. In fact, you should do so. For all you know, your recipient might feel very warm on seeing the card

Whatever type of birthday card you choose, remember that it is for the recipient and hence always keep the recipient in mind. This will also make him/her to remember you.
